Description:
Photograph of five women seated on the ground in a wooded area near Otranto Plantation. An automobile is parked directly behind them with another one just visible to the right. Paine captured the lunch break during the second outing of the Charleston Automobile Club. The women are wearing full-length skirts or dresses and large hats tied with scarves around their chins as they eat a picnic lunch. Photographer's notation on reverse, "2nd Auto outing of Chas. Auto Club. 1910, near Otranto, S.C."
