Photograph of Broad Street looking west toward St. Michael's Church (71 Broad Street). To photograph this street scene, Paine positioned himself on the interior steps of the Old Post Office Building (now the Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon Building, 122 East Bay) and shot through the open doorway. Several diagonally parked automobiles are visible on both sides of the street and a trolley car can be seen making its way toward the photographer. He noted his camera settings on reverse, "Broad St from Old Post Offc. May 1933 Zeiss 165 cm. Tessar Old D.C. Ortho Plate. F8. 1/25th - 100ft."
