Brick House Plantation

Description:

Sepia photograph of the front view of the main house on Brick House Plantation prior to the fire in 1929. The front porch is overgrown with vines. Built by Paul Hamilton in 1725 it was sold to the Jenkins family in 1798 and has remained in the family. Handwritten on reverse reads, "Brick House on Edisto Island, S.C. // Front View".
