Description:
Currently on exhibit in the Civil War Gallery, this short breech-loading, .50 cal. percussion weapon was the first model designed to utilize the "tape primer" system. The external features include an attachment ring behind the trigger on the underside of the stock, a moveble rear sight and a patchbox on the right side.
