Description:
Photograph of Charleston's rooftops following Meeting Street north. Paine captured the view from the steeple of St. Michael's Church (71 Broad Street) with a portion of the Fireproof Building (100 Meeting) visible to the right as well as the Circular Congregational Church (150 Meeting) further down. Hibernian Hall (103-109 Meeting) can be seen to the left. Printed from a glass negative held in the Museum's Archives.
