Description:
Watercolor on paper illustrating a brown capped mushroom, identified along the bottom in ink as "Bolitus [sic] Edulis." Jervey wrote on reverse, "Found in the fall after frost Hard frozen. Closely resmbles the Bolitus [sic] bovinus which grows profusely in the Rockies. I have found it in the Big Horn Mountains in mid Summer very delicious."
