Description:
Watercolor and gold paint on paper illustrating two types of the Boletus mushroom. Jervey noted on top "Golden boletus edible" and on bottom "Bitter Boletus poisionous." She wrote on reverse, "The Golden Boletus is delicious. I found one at the Faber Place that weighed 3lbs. It is dried & shipped to the United States from abroad & sells for $2.00 a pound [at] Mr G's in Washington. The bitter Boletus is a greenish yellow & as the name implies is very bitter."
