Description:

Black and white photograph of four armament crewmen standing next to the nose of the B-24 Liberator Bomber #42-50665, R4-K, nicknamed "Lady in the Dark" after Ginger Rogers from the movie titled Lady in the Dark. The nose art depicts her as scantily dressed holding a lit candle in her left hand as she lifts her dress with her right hand to expose a scared duck holding on to her stocking clad legs. Walter LeRoy Wooten is identified standing to the far left wearing a bomber jacket. Handwritten on reverse reads, "Hunttington [sic], England Armament Crew - Bombers B-24". (see also 1983.93.28)
