Jervey noted in black paint "The Deadly Amanita" on the left bottom corner and on reverse she wrote, "from Economic Botany By Ida Morris Jervey Summerville S.C. Less attention has been paid to Edible Wild mushrooms than any other branch of useful & every day knowledge, yet considering it an article of food, it should claim the right to recognition. See A.2."
