Description:
Sepia photograph showing the Usine Ste. Madeleine sugar plantation and factory on the Cipero River near the City of San Fernando in Trinidad (now Trinidad and Tobago). Taylor noted on reverse, "Usine St. Mad." The expedition team stopped in San Fernando in February before Beebe decided to move on to British Guiana (now Guyana).
