Home School History Day: What Do You See? Analyzing Photos
Today we take photos to chronicle every moment of our lives, but photography has not always been so accessible. Learn about the history of photography and how we can learn history from photographs. Students will learn some of the techniques for finding clues in photographs that enable us to date them. Primarily we will focus on chronology using clothing, environment and photographic techniques. Students will use this knowledge to put images from the Museum’s collections in chronological order.
The third Friday of every month we offer a special program for home schooling families. These programs feature one of our field trip classes, a chance to go through the Museum, and an activity. Reservations recommended.
FREE for Museum members and FREE with admission.
