Inspired by The Charleston Museum’s new exhibit, War on Fashion, join artist and designer, Daniel Velasco for a Fashion Illustration Watercolor Workshop! Fashion illustrator, artist, and designer Daniel Velasco started his professional career in his home country of Venezuela and soon moved to the United States and earned his Master of Fine Arts in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Since then, Daniel has worked with Hollywood stylist and designers and recently collaborated with The Charleston Museum for Reimagined Fashion.

On Saturday, July 20, Daniel is back at The Charleston Museum to lead an introduction into fashion illustration discussing topics like color theory and exploring various watercolor techniques. Participants will view the exhibit, War on Fashion, with Daniel for inspiration and then dive into exploring watercolors. Daniel will introduce participants to a variety of techniques including layering, dry and wet brush techniques, rendering fabrics and creating gowns and suits. All materials are provided and registration is required.
