Exclusive Archives Tour: Family Bible Records – A Genealogical Resource

Exclusive Archives Tour: Family Bible Records - A Genealogical Resource

For centuries, bibles and prayer books have been used to gain spiritual knowledge and guidance.  Also used to record family birth and death dates as well as any important events that took place, these bibles have become an invaluable resource for both historians and genealogists. On Thursday, March 10, at 5:30 pm, join Archivist, Jennifer McCormick, for a behind-the-scenes and up-close look at the Family Bible Collection never before exhibited in the Archives.  She will share their secrets and recent research of the families that provided these wonderful fragments of history. Participants are invited to arrive early, between 5 – 5:15 pm, to enjoy refreshments in the Museum’s lobby before beginning their journey into the Archives.
