BIRDWATCHING Self-Guided Tours at the Joseph Manigault House

The Joseph Manigault House is one of the featured sites of Birdwatching, a celebration of art and conservation presented by Garden & Gun magazine and curated and artistically directed by Kelly S. Turner. Connecting humans to the natural world, this immersive installation incorporates objects and artifacts from The Charleston Museum’s collections, and is inspired by nineteenth- century artist-naturalists.

Allowing visitors to experience these engaging vignettes at their leisure, the Joseph Manigault House will offer self-guided tours, occurring daily from 12–2 pm. Beginning Friday, February 18, the offer will continue through Sunday, April 3, included with regular admission. Interpreters will be positioned throughout the space to answer questions and provide contextual information about the Joseph Manigault House.

FREE for Members and FREE with admission to the Joseph Manigault House.

EFFECTIVE MARCH 4, 2022:  The Museum follows CDC guidelines with respect to mask wearing.  Charleston County’s community level is currently listed as medium, which recommends masks for those immunocompromised or at high risk for severe illness.  Masks are not required while visiting Museum sites.
