Description:

One of seven (originally eight) northern cinnamon teal eggs (Spatula cyanoptera septentrionalium) collected when incubation was fresh and identified when the bird was flushed (see CBE1460 - CBE1466). The nest was "of grasses lined with down only on top edge of nest. Nest placed in the long marsh grass beside water run, (Treganza slip)."
