Description:
Natural cowhorn with markings for the Palmetto Guard etched on the front. It has been boiled and flattened and is fitted with a brass base and strap rings on the top. The horn is affixed with a common top, adjustable charger, and an outside spring and common cutter with thumbpiece. Thought to have been used during the American Civil War.
