Photograph of the Charleston Hotel (198-224 Meeting Street) taken during the 18th annual American Association of Museums meeting in Charleston. Frary also captured several businesses and other buildings as well as pedestrians, automobiles and a horse-drawn carriage. Advertising signs include, Atlantic Paint Company (207), Star Bargain House (211), William Sellers "The Moving Man" (213), and Trouche Paper & Stationary (215), Notation on reverse reads, "New Charleston Hotel."

The meeting coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum and then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry.
