Page 12 - Santee Gun Club

Description:

Photograph of a group of people seated on the porch of the Santee Gun Club House (formerly Blake's Plantation). Four people have been identified on reverse from left to right, "Mr. Bryant, Dr. Stone, Mrs. Stone, and Dr. Hollick." The same people have been identified on page 13 of the album with the incorrect name "Dr. Horlick." Charles Arthur Hollick served as the Paleobotantist at the New York Botanical Garden from 1921-1932.

The image was taken during the 18th annual meeting of the American Association of Museums which coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum. Then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry for the AAM members and their spouses.
