Page 11: Boone Hall Plantation, Slave Cabins
Description:
Photograph of the old brick slave cabins at Boone Hall Plantation taken during the 18th annual American Association of Museums meeting in Charleston. Curry captured the workyards behind the row of cabins (at least seven) along with a wooden outbuilding. Notation on reverse, "Negro Huts."
The conference coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum and then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry.
