Description:

Aerial view of the old Porter Military Academy campus (now owned by the Medical University of South Carolina) and a portion of the Medical College of South Carolina (now the Medical University of South Carolina) as well as the surrounding area. The Porter Military Academy was founded in 1867 and operated at this location until they moved to Albemarle Point and the land was sold to the Medical University in 1964. The Academy's octagonal Hoffman Library (now the MUSC's Waring Library), Colcock Hall and St. Timothy's (now St. Luke's) Chapel are all visible in the center right.
