Description:

One of eight American wigeon eggs and one small glassine envelope of down that were collected from Pile Lake (see also CBE2384 - CBE2391). The eggs appeared to have been laid roughly one week prior their collection date and were identified by A. Dzubin of the Canadian Wildlife Service. The nest was "under heavy grass, near few trees, 40 yd. from lake. First found May 26th. Area flooded," (Slimmon slip).
