Black and white photograph of the north side of Elliott Street featuring the buildings addressed at 22 (left) and 20 (right) Elliott (see MK 1459). Paine shot this image from the corner of Bedon's Alley and captured a child inside the archway of 22 and a woman passing in front of 20. Note the back of an automobile just visible to the right. The 1931-1932 Charleston City Directory lists Arthur Jackson at 22 and Thomas Huggins at 20 Elliott. Paine noted on reverse, "On Elliott St. Dark Town Houses. A Beautiful Lighting Effect. Leica Camera, June 32 Midday BS. 1/40th F9. 50 ft. Agfa film P.M.C. 10. OK. Paine Photo."
