Description:

Black and white photograph of East Battery looking north toward East Bay Street. The photographer captured Mr. Wagner, the first tour guide in Charleston, driving his horse-drawn carriage with his dog seated beside him. Two men are visible fishing from the seawall and several automobiles are either parked or driving along the street. The Louis DeSaussure House (1 East Battery) can be seen to the left and the Missroon House (40 East Battery) is visible in the background.
