Oil on canvas full length portrait of the Museum's former curator, Gabriel E. Manigault set in a gilt frame. Stolle painted the sitter wearing a black suit as he gestures at a table with artifacts and specimens. The background contains a dark drape pulled back to expose pottery vessels and statue heads in museum display cases. Manigault was the head curator of The Charleston Museum from 1873 to 1899 and specialized in comparative anatomy through the study of skeletons. Currently on display in the Museum's Early Days Gallery.
