Description:

One double-barrel shotgun, 12-gauge, with parkerized barrels and frame, a wooden rearstock, forestock and silver buttplate. The right side of the stock has a carved turkey feather in relief. The buttplate was replaced with a sterling silver piece custom engraved in Charleston and depicts birds on a branch with the owner's name, city, and state.
This shotgun features custom works by a pair of local artisans, Johns Island wood carver Roy Smoak detailed the gun stock with turkey tail feathers c.1985 and Henry "Corky" Hardin of Mt. Pleasant made and engraved the sterling silver butt plate c.1990.
