Description:

Sepia photograph of the front exterior of the Colonel Thomas Pinckney, Jr. House. Paine appears to have shot the image from the porch of 113 Broad Street (across the street) to capture the stone columned portico along with seafood vendor, Poppa Joe (in corner) selling shrimp. Various pedestrians are also pictured. He noted on reverse, "from Old City Speaks - Colonial, Historic Homes on Broad St. Chas. S.C. Poppa Joe goes by with Shrimp. Photo copy by M.B. Paine 1938."
