College Charleston, Archaeology Hall

Description:

Photograph of the anthropology and archaeology exhibits in the old museum when under the auspices of the College of Charleston. It was located on the third floor of Randolph Hall. Handwritten notation on reverse, "Museum at College of Charleston, 3rd floor."

Museum curator Gabriel Manigault purchased several casts from The British Museum including Ramses II, Sety II, and Amenhotep III in 1892. He had them installed in the Archaeology Hall on the 3rd floor of Randolph Hall.
