Description:
Photograph of (from right to left) the Charleston Consolidated Railway & Lighting Company and the Follin Cigar Store (462 Meeting Street). The photographer set his camera in the center of Meeting and Columbus Streets and captured a policeman directing traffic at the intersection. In the background, several people are standing, waiting for the next electric railway. A sign reading "Commutation Tickets/Books For Sale Here C.C.R.Y. & L.C.O." hangs outside the entrance door to the waiting room. To the far right, at 110 Columbus Street, is the Union Meat Market. Handwritten notation on reverse, " Waiting Room Columbus & Meeting."
