Portrait photograph of Louis Manigault's son, Charles at four years old. He is dressed in a plaid coat, breeches, and striped stockings. The photographer has seated him on a fringed stool holding a walking stick and pork pie hat. Charles Manigault wrote his identification on the bottom, "C.M. May 1872." Louis Manigault's handwritten notation can be found on reverse, "Charles Manigault Junr Charleston So.Ca., May 1872."
