Cepphus grylle, Guillemot egg
Description:
Part of the Sprunt Egg Collection, this black guillemot egg (Cepphus grylle arcticus) was collected from the coast of South Labrador. It had been slightly incubated for a short period of time with additional notes stating the egg had been "laid in crevice between boulders" and the nesting sight, noted by Sprunt, as found "in a colony."
