Description:
Photograph showing the island of Shutes Folly when Castle Pinckney was used as a storage and supply depot for the Corps of Engineers in Charleston. Lunz shot the image from a boat in the harbor to show the keeper's dwelling, outbuildings, and a pile wharf with a 300 foot approach. Handwritten notation on negative envelope, "Castle Pinckney Jan 29, 1935 Charleston Harbor."
