Oil on canvas full length portrait of Captain William Hall dressed in his Revolutionary War uniform. The artist depicted the sitter with his right hand resting on a boulder as he points to a naval battle occurring in a harbor behind him. The frame is formed in a simple Cavetto motif and has been regilded. Currently on exhibit in "Becoming Americans."
