Description:
One dark green bottle with attached seal currently on exhibit in the Heyward-Washington House. The handblown bottle is reconstructed from several fragments and features the seal "G.A. Hall 1768". George Abbott Hall was married to Lois Mathewes Hall, sister of Thomas Heyward, Jr.'s first wife, Elizabeth Mathewes Heyward. Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Heyward were in residence during the 1780-1782 occupation of Charleston.
