Description:
One half of a dark green bottle with attached seal featuring, "G.A. Hall 1768". The base and sides are reconstructed from several fragments, recovered from HWN II level 8. George Abbott Hall was married to Lois Mathewes Hall, sister of Thomas Heyward, Jr.'s first wife, Elizabeth Mathewes Heyward. Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Heyward were in residence during the 1780-1782 occupation of Charleston.
