Alca torda, Auk egg

Description:
A razorbill (Alca torda torda) egg collected from Labrador by W. A. Frazar in July 1884. Incubation of the egg had begun prior to collection. A note with the egg (Crandall slip) states there was "no nest, eggs laid on the bare rocks in cracks and crevices." Later acquired by Arthur T. Wayne.
