The Charleston Museum’s Ornithology Collection contains over 15,000 study skins, prepared skeletons, taxidermy mounts, eggs and nests representing local and worldwide specimens. Included are the specimens of the extinct Carolina Parakeet and Passenger Pigeon along with the critically endangered Ivory-billed Woodpecker. This collection is available to qualified researchers through collections visits and our website.
