Costume Collection

The Charleston Museum’s Costume Collection consists of garments worn by people from all walks of life, from christening gowns to military uniforms to haute couture ensembles. Ranging from the 18th century to the present day, these garments provide visitors, students, and researchers the opportunity to viscerally connect with the history of the Lowcountry through the clothing worn by centuries of its residents.
