Charleston Rice Bead Necklace
Long strands of cylindrical beads that mimicked the shape of a grain of rice were sold in the 1970s as souvenirs from Charleston and as a local trend. These necklaces became known as “rice beads” because of the historical importance of rice in the Lowcountry. These textured chains can be worn long or wrapped around your neck or wrist. 5′ feet in length, each necklace comes in its own drawstring bag. Made in the USA and assembled in Charleston, SC.
