Wildlife Painting Workshop

Wildlife Painting Workshop

Join The Charleston Museum and wildlife artist, Amanda McLenon, for an introductory Wildlife Painting Workshop on Thursday, September 6th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Amanda has shown her work at the Charleston Farmers Market for the last eight years, and she is also an exhibiting artist at the annual Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Festival and Southeastern Wildlife Exposition. In 2012 she was awarded the prestigious Lowcountry Artist of the Year award.

McLenon will introduce participants to her work and style and will discuss what sets wildlife painting apart from other subject matters. The workshop will include a tour of the Bunting Natural History Gallery and participants will draw inspiration from the galleries and will be guided through the process of bringing their own wildlife paintings “to life”.

Acrylic and watercolor painting experience a plus, but all levels welcome.  All materials included. Registration Required.
