USO Days at the Joseph Manigault Historic House

This Veteran’s Day weekend explore the history of the Joseph Manigault Historic House. During WWII, this site was used as a USO post and Red Cross training facility. While at the Joseph Manigault House, soldiers attended dinners, parties, played games, and wrote to their families during the 1940s.

Badminton and horseshoes will be set up in the garden, images, and outfits from the time period will be on view throughout the house and special tours will focus on this unique history.

On Friday and Saturday, tours will run every 30 minutes with a special USO-themed tour at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. 

FREE for Museum members and FREE with admission.

ALL Veterans and active duty military will be admitted free on November 11th at all three sites. The Joseph Manigault House will have a special celebration on Sunday, November 11th, with self-guided tours and activities in the garden from 12 – 5 pm.
