A Perspective on Portraits: Theus and Charleston

Explore 18th century Charleston through the eyes of portrait painter Jeremiah Theus.  This curator led tour will explore the collection of original works displayed within the Charleston Museum’s Heyward-Washington house.

Theus was a highly successful colonial portraitist know for the superior way he painted clothing and the inferior way he painted faces.
