Homeschool History Day – Headlines in History: Civil War
Explore the events of the Civil War through newspaper articles and images of that time period. Study an engraving of the Battle of Fort Sumter that appeared in Harper’s Weekly while gaining an understanding of the battle and how the image was created. Learn about the daring exploits of Robert Smalls and the Massachusetts 54th regiment. Students will participate in a guided gallery tour and an engraving activity.
Reservations required. Participants must wear masks.
