Holiday Decoration Celebration at The Joseph Manigault House

Holiday Decoration Celebration at The Joseph Manigault House

This December The Garden Club of Charleston will once again bring holiday spirit into the Joseph Manigault House, adorning its rooms, hallways and stairways with greenery, ribbons, and more. These spectacular arrangements will coincide with this year’s theme, “Bells and Blooms.” The inspiration for this year’s theme came from the 1863 poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Christmas Bells”.  The bells are a symbol of hope for peace.  These decorations will be displayed from December 2 to December 29.

On December 2, from 3 – 5 pm, The Charleston Museum will host a Holiday Decoration Celebration, allowing attendees to explore the Joseph Manigault House and view these decorations at their own pace. Enjoy hot chocolate and apple cider on the porch as Christmas music provided by The Charleston Caroling Company sounds within the house. We hope that you and yours will join us in celebrating the season!
