Hands on History: The Building Arts
Today a house can be built in months, however the Joseph Manigault House took years to complete. Explore this 1803 house studying its craftsmanship – plaster ceilings, hand-carved woodwork, brick walls. Participants will then replicate these works of art by creating plaster moldings, building with bricks, and replicating iron work. Hands on History is a workshop series that features a specialized tour of Museum collections and a hands-on activity. This program is for children ages 6 and up.
Reservations required. Participants must wear masks.
