Evidence of a Siege: Rediscovering the Revolutionary War Siege Lines
The 1780 siege of Charleston was both the Revolutionary War’s longest siege and the largest battle fought in South Carolina. Join Director Carl Borick as he explores the location of these siege lines. Borick will use period and modern maps, key features of the existing terrain, and archaeological evidence to show that this battlefield, now an urban landscape, is still beneath the streets and parks of downtown Charleston.
