Conversations with a Curator: Revolutionary War Exhibit with Director Carl Borick

Conversations with a Curator: Revolutionary War Exhibit with Director Carl Borick

Join Director Carl Borick on Friday, May 13 at 10:30 am as he highlights some of the key artifacts and imagery in the Museum’s permanent Revolutionary War exhibit, Becoming Americans, which discusses Charleston’s critical role in the conflict.  The fourth largest city in the thirteen rebellious colonies at the outset of the Revolution and by far the wealthiest, Charleston was a strategically significant port, which the British made three attempts against during the war.

Conversations with a Curator allows visitors a chance to have an in-depth look at an object or exhibit in the Museum galleries, ask questions and spark conversations. The Charleston Museum’s collections are both extraordinary and diverse and each Curator-led talk and tour allows participants to immerse themselves in a different aspect of Charleston’s rich history.

All Conversations with a Curator programs are open to the public and FREE for Members and FREE with admission.

EFFECTIVE MAY 3, 2022:  The Museum follows CDC guidelines with respect to mask wearing.  Charleston County’s Covid-19 community level is currently listed as low.  Masks are not required while visiting Museum sites.
