Conversations with a Curator in the Archives: Celebrating Women of Charleston

Conversations with a Curator in the Archives: Celebrating Women of Charleston

For Part 2 of Celebrating Women of Charleston, Chief Curator and Archivist Jennifer McCormick will showcase artwork found in the Museum’s Archives by some of the lesser known female artists of the Charleston Renaissance. Artists will include Edith Fraser, Minnie Mikell, Mary Wilson Ball, and Leila Waring.

Please join McCormick for this continuation of last year’s Part 1 with an exclusive tour behind the doors of the Archives to view these incredible creations by women of Charleston.

Conversations with a Curator allows visitors a chance to have an in-depth look at an object or exhibit in the Museum galleries, ask questions and spark conversations. The Charleston Museum’s collections are both extraordinary and diverse and each Curator-led talk and tour allows participants to immerse themselves in a different aspect of Charleston’s rich history.

All Conversations with a Curator programs are open to the public and FREE for Members and FREE with admission.  Due to limited space in the Archives, reservations are required in advance for this program.
