Christmas Eve: Museum and historic houses close at 1:30 pm

The Charleston Museum and our historic houses are close at 1:30 pm on Christmas Eve so that staff may to enjoy the holiday with family and friends. Last Tour at the historic houses begins at 1:30 pm.  We resume regular hours on the Saturday, December 26. Come enjoy the holidays with us!

The Charleston Museum: Monday through Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday 12 to 5 pm

Heyward-Washington House: Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday 12 to 5 pm (last tour begins at 4:30 pm)

Joseph Manigault House: Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday 12 to 5 pm (last tour begins at 4:30 pm)

Effective August 2, 2021: Per Charleston County requirement all persons must wear face coverings when in Charleston County indoor public spaces.  Accordingly, masks must be worn while visiting The Charleston Museum and its historic houses. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping our community to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
