Botanical Tour at the Dill Sanctuary with Dr. Richard Porcher

On Saturday, April 22, join Dr. Richard Porcher for a special morning walk and botanical tour at the Museum’s Dill Sanctuary. Learn about local flora and fauna, including both native and introduced species, as you explore this unique wildlife sanctuary.  Representing the largest area of privately protected land on James Island, the Dill Sanctuary is a 580-acre wildlife refuge, owned by the Charleston Museum.  Farmed for much of its history, the property has now been returned to its natural state and is home to a variety of plant and animal life.
