BIRDWATCHING on view at the Joseph Manigault House
Drawing from nature, the splendors of bird watching, and the interconnectivity between humans and the natural world, this unique visual experience takes viewers on a journey between the Joseph Manigault House, The Dewberry hotel, and Garden & Gun’s Cigar Factory offices, each location sparking wonder and awareness of avian conservation. Curated and artistically directed by Kelly S. Turner, and produced by Garden & Gun, the exhibition centers on an immersive installation at the Joseph Manigault House, where viewers will step into a spectacular avian menagerie inspired by nineteenth century artist-naturalists. The exhibition features original works from contemporary artists Brandon Ballengée, Clare Celeste Börsch, and J. Drew Lanham, as well as historical specimens and objects from the Charleston Museum’s expansive collections. For more information, visit gardenandgun.com/birdwatching
